Dr. Wayne A. Label, CPA, MBA, PhD, was born and raised in San Francisco. He completed his undergraduate work in accounting at the University of California, Berkeley and then went to the University of California, Los Angeles where he received his MBA and a PhD in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

He has taught at several universities in the United States and abroad. He was the Director of the School of Accountancy at the University of Hawaii and chairman of the accounting department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Label also taught for the Harvard Institute of International Development where he helped to start the Master's Degree Program in Auditing in La Paz, Bolivia. He received a Ford Foundation grant to aid the beginning of an MBA program at the Catholic University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has taught accounting courses in Peru, Chile, Mexico, and Germany.

Dr. Label has published three books on accounting, and over thirty articles in professional journals. He is currently teaching online courses for the University of Maryland University College and UCLA. Dr. Label has also given seminars in accounting and international business in numerous locations throughout the United States, as well as in Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
